In the food service industry, many times you must have come across managers, who are also referred as i.e. front-of-house. Now, many people are there who want to know the exact, front office meaning. Now, foh managers are the one who are in the food industry & they do the supervision of the workers who work in the restaurants – in which the consumer orders and eat. Besides all of that, a front office management can be a good career option for those people who are in the food service industry or looking forward to be in a food service industry & get extra liability and challenges. Management of Front Office 

A field that comes within the food service, where the individual has to manage and train the workers who work in the front office at a hotel or restaurant is known as front office management. The front office mainly consists of the areas like restaurant, staff, interaction with consumers and so on. Besides all of that, under the front office management, kitchen and administrative offices is excluded and it includes the waiting area of the consumers, host stand, place where consumers wait for servers, dining room- where the consumers order and eat and available facilities within like a bar, outdoor patio and so on.

Front Office Responsibility 

Besides all of that, a front office management team of the restaurant is liable for the management of the administrative and work tasks like front-of-the-house staff. The managers of front office are working in traditional restaurants, but they can also work within a cruise ship or hotel restaurant. It does not matter what kind of restaurant it is. The front office managers are liable for managing, supervision and training the following – the first is the servers. Servers are those workers who provide menu cards to the customers and note down their orders and answer their queries & they also check to see whether they are happy with their meals. The next front office trainee is host. Host is the one who will greet the consumers when they enter the restaurant & escort them to the table & help them. Next, is bartenders. After that, comes the custodial staff which cleans the table room and prepare the table for the new customers. They also clean the loo. After that, comes the caterers.

Conclusion 

One of the things that you will know about the front office managers are that, they work in different duties that is connected with the management of front-of-house and processes of the restaurants. They have more responsibility and have to manage the well-established rooms at the restaurants.
